Built From Service. Driven by Loss. Focused on Prevention.

EBSS is a veteran-founded defense technology company focused on engineered blast-overpressure mitigation for military training environments.

Founded from firsthand Special Operations experience, repeated exposure, and the loss of fellow warfighters, EBSS exists to reduce preventable blast burden before it becomes a long-term brain-health, readiness, or quality-of-life issue.

The mission is direct: protect the troops, preserve realistic training, and help address blast exposure earlier — before preventable burden becomes permanent cost.

Founded from Firsthand Experience

EBSS was founded by Michael Eaves, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer, inventor, and Special Operations veteran with more than two decades of experience in high-blast training environments.

Across his career, Mike saw the same pattern repeat: the people responsible for building readiness — warfighters, instructors, RSOs, assistant gunners, breachers, assault teams, and training cadre — were often the ones closest to repeated blast events.

Over time, he saw teammates and fellow warfighters struggle with symptoms often associated with repeated blast exposure: headaches, fatigue, sleep disruption, ringing ears, irritability, cognitive changes, emotional strain, and long-term decline. He also experienced the deeper cost of that burden through the loss of fellow warfighters to suicide.

For Mike, EBSS is not an abstract product idea. It is a prevention mission.

The goal is to reduce preventable blast-overpressure exposure before it becomes a long-term brain-health, cognitive-performance, readiness, or quality-of-life issue for the warfighter.

Our Mission

EBSS exists to help protect the people who protect the mission.

Military training must remain realistic. Warfighters need hard, repetitive, high-intensity training to prepare for combat. But the burden of that training should not fall unchecked on the same personnel across training days, courses, and careers.

Our mission is to reduce avoidable blast-overpressure exposure through practical engineering controls that integrate into the training environment.

Protect the troops. Preserve training. Execute the mission.

Connect with EBSS

Prevention is the mission. EBSS was built for the personnel who stand closest to the blast so others can train, qualify, and deploy ready.

Our work is focused on reducing preventable exposure before it becomes a long-term burden carried by warfighters, instructors, RSOs, breachers, assistant gunners, assault teams, and training cadre.

Readiness and protection should not be opposing goals.

The mission is to keep training real — and reduce the preventable blast burden carried by those who serve.
